Xenophobia Meter Project (continued)

XMP are developing the Xenophobia Meter to assist migrant communities, advocates and ethical political leaders by defining and quantifying xenophobic speech and tying it to government and corporate action. We are building on our work from Fall 2020 to expand the capabilities of Xenophobia Meter.

The Xenophobia Meter is an online platform that equips researchers with accurate and relevant information and tools regarding xenophobia and action they can take to study and fight it. This semester, we are:

• Working on being able to detect Xenophobic Tweets of any language

• Creating a scalable unsupervised learning model that can be trained to detect xenophobia in a particular language
